Showdowns are few and far between as Northeast Texas area teams jockey for playoff positions in the final four weeks of the season.

Of the 10 area games on tonight’s schedule, only two—Daingerfield at Linden-Kildare and Gilmer Union Hill at Maud—match teams in a tie for first place in the four districts.

The two Tiger teams share first place with Jefferson after one week of league play in District 12-2A. Maud and Union Hill are tied with James Bowie at the top of 17-A.
