PITTSBURG, Texas—Pittsburg staged a dramatic fourth-quarter comeback as the Pirates stunned previously unbeaten New Boston, 25-19, in a key District 16-3A battle here Friday night.

It was the first loss of the season for the Lions (6-1) while Pittsburg climbs to 4-3. Both teams are now 1-1 in district play. Unbeaten Pleasant Grove (7-0, 2-0) is now in sole possession of first place in the district.

New Boston led 12-9 at halftime before the Pirates scored a safety when the ball was snapped out of the end zone in the third quarter, pulling the hosts to within 12-11.
