ASHDOWN, Ark.—Class 4A’s top-ranked Nashville moved closer to an undefeated season and a possible fourth straight state championship with a 38-0 District 7-4A victory over Ashdown Friday at Dick Hayes Stadium.

It took awhile before the Scrappers erupted for three second-period touchdowns to take a 21-0 halftime lead.

Pierre Vaughn scored the first touchdowns on a pair of 4-yard runs and then passed 52 yards to Erick Graham for the third score.

Vaughn completed 20 of 28 passes for 220 yards, and ran the ball for 123 yards and three touchdowns on 22 carries. <...
