HALLSVILLE, Texas—Canton won and Liberty-Eylau’s girls placed fifth Saturday in Hallsville High School’s “Running of the Cows,” and Texas High had a top 10 finisher in both races.

Murnisha Dickerson led the Lady Leopards, finishing 11th in 14:15. Shanetereia Thomas was 17th in 14:41. L-E’s other runners were Bethani Snider, Afton Dorsey and Kayla Kirk.

L-E’s boys were seventh in the team standings. Xavier Smith was 30th for the Leopards in 19:02. Other team members included Nick Traylor, Laron Robertson, B.J. Franklin and Billy Pasley.
