LITTLE ROCK—Billy Blair won his opening match Monday in the Class 6A state tennis tournament at the Rebsamen Tennis Center.

Blair defeated Kord Stuffelbeam from Mountain Home, who was the No. 3 seed from the East, 6-0, 6-0.

“Billy played really well today and his Achilles heel held up for him,” said AHS coach Adam O’Neal.

Blair, the No. 2 seed from the South, returns to the courts today against Jonesboro’s Drew Morgan in the semifinals.
