OMAHA-NAPLES, Texas—Reggie Kumrow patiently waited his turn. Now he’s reaping the benefits.

Kumrow’s first season as head of the Paul Pewitt athletics program comes in his 23rd as a Brahmas coach. While his title might be different, his approach is not.

“I’ve been in a real fortunate situation with all the (head) coaches (Doug Black, Gary Luttrell, Ronnie Bickham, Brian Huckabay) I’ve had here,” Kumrow said. “I’ve always had various responsibilities. Now, it’s a little bit different, but all the games are the same.”
