BULLARD, Texas—Texarkana College’s young golf team placed sixth this week in the Tyler Junior College Fall Invitational at Oak Hurst Golf Club.

Lon Morris posted a 23-shot victory over host Tyler with four players shooting under par for a 36-hole total of 561. The Apaches finished two shots ahead of Paris. Texarkana shot 611, 30 shots better than Southern Arkansas University.

Paris’ Jason Timmis won medalist honors with rounds of 67 and 68. Stephen Irvin of Hill Community College followed at 138.
