Conway’s Matt Lea wasn’t shy about giving credit to Texarkana native Joey Hurley for his win in the 2008 Arkansas Mr. Bass Classic.

The 41-year-old Lea predicted after Saturday’s second day of fishing that he would need around 12 pounds Sunday to prevail. He actually only needed 9.72, but easily won his second Classic when it was announced his 5-fish limit weighed 12.20 for a 3-day total of 39 pounds.
