MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark.—Arkansas High begins play today in the Class 6A volleyball state tournament at Mountain Home and is trying to capture its first state championship since 1988.

“I’ve had some really good teams here, but I would say top to bottom these are the best eight girls (that play) that I’ve had,” said 17-year head coach Angela Moody. “We’ve had parts and pieces before, but this team, athletically, is the best.”
