COMMERCE, Texas—Hooks had never lost a Game 5 this season, but unfortunately the Lady Hornets didn’t get to a fifth game in its volleyball match with Gunter Tuesday.

Gunter (31-7) defeated Hooks in four games 25-15, 18-25, 25-13, 25-20, in a Region II-2A bi-district match at Commerce High School.

Hooks ends its season at 25-11, while Gunter moves on to play Pottsboro Thursday at Howe.

“Lack of communication cost us tonight,” said Hooks coach Elizabeth Tankersley. “We had a mental breakdown and made too many errors.”
