SULPHUR SPRINGS, Texas—Seven serves into the net, but Howe’s girls never quit hitting the ball hard.

The third-place team from District 11-2A finished the night with 17 ace serves and Howe eliminated Redwater in bi-district action at Sulphur Springs High School’s gymnasium, 25-19, 25-20, 23-25, 25-14.

Howe (22-19) gets a bye in the area round, advancing to play either Melissa or Pilot Point.
