SULPHUR SPRINGS, Texas—Lucas Lovejoy was too much for Liberty-Eylau Thursday night.

Lovejoy swept the Lady Leopards in a Class 3A area playoff game, 25-7, 25-22, 25-19, at Sulphur Springs High School.

“This wasn’t the outcome we were looking for,” said Liberty-Eylau coach Carrie Barber. “I knew they were going to be tough, but I just wanted us to come out and give our best effort, and I’m not sure we did that.”

The Leopards ended the season with a 27-9 record, while Lovejoy (34-5) advances to play the winner Van next Tuesday.
