PATTONVILLE, Texas—D.J. Burleson scored three first-half touchdowns to stake Paul Pewitt to a 21-0 lead, and the Brahmas held on for a 29-22 victory over previously unbeaten Prairiland.

With the victory, Pewitt extended its win streak to eight games, after an 0-2 start, and clinched the outright District 12-2A championship. The Brahmas (8-2, 7-0) enter the playoffs as the top seed from the league in Division II (small school).

Prairliand (9-1, 6-1) will play in the Class 2A Division I (big school) bracket.
