WAXAHACHIE, Texas—It wasn’t one of the better rounds for Texas High’s golf team, but the Tigers still have a share of the lead after the first 18 holes in the Big Green Winter Classic at Waxahachie Country Club.

The Tigers and Fort Worth Paschal each shot 313, five shots better than third-place Lake Dallas.

“We knew the scores were going to be high because they had tricked up the course,” said THS coach Jay Brewer, “and the greens were real small. Still, we’re tied for the lead.
