HUGHES SPRINGS, Texas—The Jefferson Bulldogs defeated Hughes Springs, 42-32, to earn a playoff spot when Linden-Kildare defeated Ore City, 19-13.

“It is unbelievable,” said Jefferson head coach Scott Hale. “It’s more of a relief, too. The thing I hated was I didn’t want the kids to miss out because of the problems we had.”

The Bulldogs will meet White Oak in the first round at Tatum next Friday at 7:30 p.m.
