GLADEWATER, Texas—New Boston was playing well when its volleyball season came to an abrupt end.

The Lady Lions fought back from a 2-0 deficit to force a fourth game, which went back and forth before Eustace thwarted a fifth game by posting a 25-21, 25-23, 14-25, 25-22 victory in the Class 3A area playoffs Saturday at Gladewater’s Bill Waters Gym.

The Lady Bulldogs (29-9) advance to face Princeton (27-15) in the Region II quarterfinals next week. New Boston finishes with an 18-14 record.
