HOT SPRINGS, Ark.—Thirteenth-place was not unlucky for Trinity Christian senior Alex Spillers, who led the Warriors to the Conference 2A-A Cross Country state championship Saturday at Oaklawn Park.

Spillers was 13th in 19:08, while teammate Michael Milhorn placed 15th in 19:21.

The Warriors finished with a team score of 98. Ryan Huntze was 21st (19:30), Morgan Brown 27th (19:46) and Collin Madison (19:46).

Other TC runners included Duncan Collins (20:20), Duncan Robbins (21:02), Julio Schmid (21.18) and Michael Holcombe (21:43.
