Pleasant Grove’s new basketball coach is excited to see how far the Lady Hawks will go this season.

Mark Coon, who hasn’t coached basektball in five years, says PG brings a different meaning for his team.

“I’ve been real pleased with our intensity in our scrimmages,” said Coon, who coached softball and cross country at Marshall last year. “We’ve put up good points, but defensively we have to continue to get better. I tell the girls that PG stands for ‘patiently growing’”
