HOUSTON—Six Avery runners finished in the top 45 runners Saturday, and the Bulldogs qualified for the state cross country meet with a third-place finish in the UIL Region III Cross Country Championships at Lone Star College-North Harris.

The Bulldogs totaled 92 points, finishing behind first-place North Hopkins’ 42 and runner-up Sulphur Bluff’s 84.
