Texarkana College sophomore southpaw Zach Fowler signed a letter of intent Wednesday to continue his baseball career at Texas Tech University.

Fowler saw considerable action for the Bulldogs in the spring after transferring from Louisiana Tech.

He was a pitcher, first baseman and outfielder at Liberty-Eylau. He was named all-tournament MVP after winning the 3A state championship in 2006. He was also the starting pitcher and all-tournament selection in the 2007 title game.

Fowler is the son of Rick and Judy Fowler.
