Pleasant Grove: Hawks carry their winning ways into postseason play

Pleasant Grove (8-2) awaits the winner of the Farmersville (6-4), the defending state champion, and Kemp (5-5) match.

It was another record-setting season for Pleasant Grove football.

The Hawks charged their campaign with a school-record 8-0 start, giving them 17 wins in their last 18 games, before losing their last two regular season and District 16-3A games to finish 8-2, which tied them for their best regular season in the team’s history also.

With a Class 3A, Division II (small school) bi-district bye, Pleasant Grove needs just one win to advance as far as it has in team history, including last year’s regional qualifier.
