MINERAL SPRINGS, Ark.—A healthy Mineral Springs and the presence of star running back Shaun Richardson (out with knee injury) might have made the Hornets a tougher test, but that’s all conjecture.

The fact is Smackover’s wishbone racked up 328 yards, with Antonio Burks scoring three touchdowns and rushing for 119 yards to lead the Buckaroos past the Hornets in a first-round Class 2A playoff game, 40-14.
