MOUNT PLEASANT, Texas—Bianca Stevenson ripped the nets for 36 points to help Liberty-Eylau smack Mount Pleasant, 62-40, in both teams’ season opener Friday.

Stevenson poured in 17 field goals for the Lady Leopards, and Destinee Thrash nailed a pair of 3-pointers and scored 13 points.

Chasity Morgan led the Lady Tigers with 17 points.

The Leopards also won the junior varsity game, 53-37. Ebony Lewis scored 15 for L-E, Marissa Leonard added 11 and Jaleesa Gibson 12.
