AVINGER, Texas—James Bowie’s girls went on a 15-4 scoring spree in the third quarter to defeat Redwater, 60-41, and advance to the championship game in the Avinger Invitational basketball tournament.

The Lady Pirates (5-0) will play in tonight’s 6 o’clock title game against the winner of Friday’s late game matching McLeod and Avinger.

Hillary Dunson ignited James Bowie with a game-high 15 points, Carissa Rogers added 11 and Megan Hammonds 10.
