Four area football teams remained alive in the UIL state playoffs with wins this weekend in the regional semifinal round and have set their next contests.

In Region II-3A, Division II (small school) games, Pleasant Grove faces Celina and New Boston plays Kaufman in a doubleheader Friday at Royse City. The Hawks (9-2) and Bobcats (9-3) tangle at 1 p.m., and the New Boston Lions (10-1) and Kaufman Lions (9-3) square off at 6:30.
