Pleasant Grove’s girls basketball team needs a little longer to warm up than most teams.

The Lady Hawks started their third straight game cold from the field, fell into a big hole because of it and dropped to 0-3, despite a furious second-half rally, with a 64-54 loss to Mount Pleasant Monday at Hawks Gym.

“In three games a slow start has been our Achilles heel,” said first-year Hawks coach Mark Coon. “The kids fight back, but it’s tough to come back. If we started like we finished we would be alright.”
