Arkansas High lived by the 3-pointer in a season-opening win over cross-town rival Texas High Tuesday night at Razorback Gym.

The Lady Backs attempted 43 long-range shots, converting 11, and held on to beat the Lady Tigers, 66-52.

“The girls are good shooters, and I don’t mind them shooting the ball,” said first-year AHS coach Venture Watson. “If they are on they can keep shooting. That’s the way we play.”
