AVERY, Texas—It took Avery three quarters to pull away from Rivercrest Monday as the Bulldogs beat the Rebels, 65-55. Avery is now 4-1.

Jordan Varley led the Bulldogs with 18 points, with Tyler Price scoring 16, Matthew Stanley 13 and Shawn Hall 12. Logan Taylor led Rivercrest’s offense with 20 points.

Avery also won the junior varsity game, 47-45. Jeffery Chivers led the Bulldogs with 12 points.
