Arkansas tight end entering NFL draft

Davie
Arkansas tight end Andrew Davie won’t be back for a fifth year in 2009.

Davie, who will turn 26 in January, is going to enter the NFL draft. He came to Arkansas after spending four years playing minor league baseball in the St. Louis Cardinals’ system. Davie was drafted by the Cardinals in 2001.

Davie redshirted in 2005, his first season at Arkansas, meaning he could have come back to play in ’09. He started 10 games in 2007.

He started four games this season, catching eight passes for 71 yards and three touchdowns.
