DAINGERFIELD, Texas—There’s already talk of Daingerfield winning back-to-back state championships in football.

“We’ve got a lot of good players coming back, but a lot of things must fall in place to win state,” said Barry Bowman, the Tigers’ first-year head coach. “I’m still trying to get used to the idea of winning this season.”

There will be holes to fill next fall, particularly on defense where graduation will claim starters Carl Moore, Julius Hurndon, Zavian Gilstrap and Bobby Attaway.
