Although Chase Brewster has never thrown an official pitch or swung a competitive bat, he’s been a familiar figure in local dugouts over the past five years.

Brewster, affectionately dubbed “Punky,” in obvious reference to the 1980s television sitcom, evidently learned at an early age that he wasn’t the athletic type, but neither was he satisfied to sit idle on the sidelines and watch his friends compete.
