Body found with 'gator ahold of it' in Florida

ORLANDO, Fla.-A body was found in the grip of an alligator in Polk County, Fla., according to a 911 call released by the Polk County Sheriff's
Office.

"One of my employees at the mine at Mosaic found a body floating in one of our hydraulic ditches with a gator ahold of it," said a voice on the 911
call.

The adult male body was found Thursday morning on Mosaic fertilizer land in south Polk County west of Fort Meade, according to the sheriff's office.

The body was pulled from the canal while Florida Fish and Wildlife trappers removed the alligator.

The sheriff's office had no information about cause of death or an identity for the man, but will conduct an autopsy.
