On Monday, the U.S. Supreme Court struck down as unconstitutional a 1992 federal law that prohibited states from legalizing sports betting unless they had already done so.
That's means any state with an inclination can now join Nevada in allowing residents and visitors to place wagers on college and professional football, basketball and baseball games as well as other sports.
States could also allow lottery or pool type games based on sports results.
But should they? In Arkansas and Texas, for example?

Last Week: Iran Deal?
Last week's question was about President Donald Trump announcement the U.S. would withdraw from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action to give Iran relief from economic sanctions in return for an agreement to eliminate or reduce enriched uranium stockpiles and cut back its nuclear program to energy needs only for 15 years. Was President Trump right to withdraw from the Iran deal? Or was it a mistake?
Any one of these facts justify withdrawal-Iran sponsors most world terrorism; Their final goal is global domination; Perceiving America, (and Israel) as the only major obstacles to their goal, they openly threaten our destruction; Their development of nuclear weaponry is primarily for this purpose; The agreement to suspend development allows them to monitor themselves as to whether they are complying; Their Islamic god justifies lying to "infidels"-non-Moslems.-D.H.M., Texarkana, Ark.

- We should have used that money on the wall and border security It was wasted money to a tyrant and to someone's welfare pocket but what else do you expect I expect security for my family and glad Trump is doing just that.
- The Iran deal wasn't inhibiting Iran's nuclear ambitions, and this was made abundantly clear by Israel's retrieval of Iranian program documents. The rulers of Iran are bound and determined to get nuclear weapons no matter what is done. Their economy is weak and their people are protesting (which isn't being covered by televised news) so stiff sanctions are the answer not international placation.

- I think it's another attempt at starting a war with Iran for Israel's sake. Trump isn't doing anything new. It's a continuation of the neocon plan that both Bush, Obama/Clinton continued. And that is the destabilization of the Middle East so Israel and the Western Establishment can control the oil. Gen. Wesley Clark told about these plans years ago.
