President vs. the Press: Was White House right to ban CNN reporter?

Last week, the White House pulled the press pass of CNN reporter Jim Acosta following a contentious incident during a press conference.

Some say Acosta's aggressive questioning showed a lack of respect for the office of the president. Others say the president is thin-skinned and lacks respect for the First Amendment.

CNN has filed a lawsuit against President Trump, several aides and a Secret Service agent and the agency's director contesting the removal of Acosta's credentials.

We want to know what you think. Was the White House right to bar Acosta? Or did it overstep its authority?

Last Week: Straight Ticket?

Last week's question was about Texas ending the longstanding practice of straight ticket voting. Should Texas have retained straight ticket voting? Or is it a good thing straight ticket voting will no longer be allowed?

First I didn't know Texas was the only state, that had "straight" voting. I thought all states offered this. To me, it's silly not to have straight voting. For one thing, it's quicker. Texas is going to stop this voting method why?-B.J., Texarkana, Texas

This is just another ploy to suppress voting by the Republicans. They want to make it as difficult as possible and confuse voters. We Democrats will continue to vote no matter what obstacles the Republicans put in front of us and by 2020 Texas will become purple.-D.J., Hooks, Texas
