Kavanaugh Controversy: Should sexual assault allegation affect confirmation?

Judge Brett Kavanaugh, President Donald Trump's nominee to the U.S. Supreme Court, seemed set for confirmation until a bombshell dropped.

Christine Blasey Ford, a psychologist in California, accused Kavanaugh of sexually assaulting her in 1982 at a party when the two were teenagers.

Since then, Kavanaugh's confirmation has been the subject of much debate. Republicans stand by him. Democrats are on the attack.

The public has strong opinions as well. Kavanaugh's foes say this should disqualify him from the court. His supporters question why Ford waited so long to come forward. Some even suggest a conspiracy by the left to torpedo the president's choice.

We want to know what you think. Should this accusation disqualify Kavanaugh from the court? Should the confirmation be put on hold until the matter is investigated thoroughly? Or do you believe the allegation is unfounded?

Last Week: Carrying Swords?

Last week's question was about a new law that went into effect this month allows Texans to carry Bowie knives, daggers, throwing knives, machetes and even swords, openly or concealed. Is the new law a good idea or not?

  •  A knife will kill you whether it's a 3 inch blade or a 10 inch blade. Common sense people.
  •  Freedom
  •  Did they pass the law for vampire slaying?
  •  A bad idea. There are way too many people out there that allow weapons to over compensate for their inferior egos. Therefore accidents and worse happen.
  •  Don't mess around in the border city.
  •  How about a sickle? Asking for a friend.
