Ordinary guy?

TO THE EDITOR:

I am a "regular, ordinary guy" states Larry Burnett, then he says that in any normal way that Donald Trump is not malicious. Well, I wonder if Mr. Burnett believes that mocking someone with a disability is normal? I would think that many people know or maybe even have a family member with a disability. Would Mr. Burnett think it would be normal and okay for them to be mocked. As for myself, I believe it is malicious.

Mr. Burnett says that Trump has some small personality flaws, but Clinton has large character flaws. I suppose it's okay to have a mistress while married. I wonder what he would have thought if President Obama was standing on stage with five kids from three different women. I will wager that he would not think of it as a small personality flaw.

Most people that file bankruptcy have a financial problem. Donald Trump filed but goes around boasting how rich that he is. If he is as rich as he claims, he must have filed just to keep from paying employees and contractors. Wonder how many people were harmed by this. Most regular guys think someone doing this is a little short on moral character.

Mr. Burnett says what worries him as a "regular ordinary guy" is the regular deluded guys. What worries me is that maybe he is the one who isdelusional and is unable to realize it.

Christian vote

TO THE EDITOR:

I want to encourage Christian to vote. Because Christians didn't vote in the last two elections we have the present government. We could have elected a Republican. I hear some people say, I don't like either candidate. In that case vote for the party that stands for God's word. Rep's are against killing babies in the womb, the Dems are for abortion. Check out the other issues and you will find Reps are for the word of God and Demos against it. When you don't vote, it is the same as a vote for the opposition. If you get the chance, go see the film called "Hillary's America." There is a book also by the same name. It will shock you.

New to town

TO THE EDITOR:

Pat and I just moved to Texarkana this past spring and we are so impressed with the people in this area. It is so nice to hear people say "have a blessed day." I work for a company that it is not only OK to talk about Jesus it is expected; we have a prayer session every week. Now we just need to find Pat a job.

We have joined a church and have been welcomed with open arms. The amazing people at this church made us feel like we belonged there forever from the first time we stepped through the door. The sermons are always very enlightening and hit close to home.

The restaurants in the area are all very good, we have not had any bad meals and the service is always impeccable. Every store very clean and orderly and the staffs are friendly.

Initially we weren't having much luck finding a house, but then we met a Realtor who personally took us around until we found the perfect home to purchase. We have a dog that really enjoys the dog parks in this area and I enjoy living in a city where pets are welcome.

We love exploring all the small towns, lakes, rivers and streams around the area, what a beautiful piece of America we live in. We really look forward to what the holiday season brings to this area and how people decorate, we have always heard of Marshall, Texas, really decorating, but I bet Texarkana and Hot Springs are probably just as good.

Once we get settled in I hope we get to meet more and more people in this beautiful town and hopefully get to join the team that is working on upgrading our downtown area, we see so much potential in bringing this area back to the way it was in its heyday!

Thanks for letting us be your neighbors.
