TO THE EDITOR:

Can you say "Agenda-Driven Broadcast News Media"? One would think that the News which affects a nation would and should be unbiased.

Nevertheless, it would appear that some Broadcast News Media sources may be using an old trick to influence a new crowd. In most cases what is seen/heard first and last in a sequence of topics will be remembered. Thus, telecasting their agenda-driven item(s) at the beginning, followed by a smattering of actual news, and then finishing with human interest stories causes the listener to remember their agenda and also leaves that individual with a good feeling toward the presenter/news program; damage done and they look good.

Consequently, it is my opinion that the national network's continued use of this trick regarding certain topics as in continued "Trump Roasting" is a catalyst for division/polarizing in this country. Granted he is a not a polished politician, a wordsmith or a slick operator like many of our past and present office holders. But he speaks his mind. Trump was elected by a groundswell of those that are the backbone (notice I said backbone, not jawbone) of this country in spite of the agenda-driven news and polls

This now brings me to a suggestion. Since, we play a part in what takes place on the bottom lines of those entities that support (as in buying time to advertise) the above mentioned biased, agenda-driven news sources perhaps we need to kick them in their bottom lines. They "listen" to their bottom line(s) and they respond accordingly. In other words, if it drops they make changes. Accordingly, what if that groundswell got their attention with a national boycott of their products and services, especially if they would pull their ads, changes in agenda-driven news content might be made just a thought.
