Letters to the Editor: Opioid crisis

TO THE EDITOR:

I am writing today to talk about "our" opioid problem. The way I see people doing hydrocodone acetaminophen like it's candy. They sell for $8 a pill on these streets. With 30 pills a person makes $240 on a bottle that costs $20 or $30 or by Medicare.

There is no way the police can find out who sells them. It is too many who don't believe they
are drug dealers. They should go ahead and sell crack or meth.

If you are not in pain and eating or chewing these pills, they will not do anything for you. A lot of people think they are helping someone out. I know people who have lost nursing degrees behind it, lost CDL drivers license s behind it, but "don't have a problem." Side effects are restlessness, watering eyes, runny nose, nausea, sweating and muscle aches. Treatment is out there. First thing is admitting your problem.
