Do you know about Texarkana's only college football game?
The Agent Barry Live United Bowl is Texarkana's only annual college football game. This year's game is this Saturday, December 1 with kickoff at 12:00 PM at Razorback Stadium. This year's game features the Missouri Western State University Griffons and the Southern Arkansas University Muleriders. We hope you will come out and enjoy the family environment and experience a true college football game experience. Bands and cheer squads from both universities will be there and the game should be one of the most competitive in the bowl's history.
Most importantly, the proceeds from the game go to the United Way of Greater Texarkana. The one missing element from past games has been local support in the way of attendance at the game. Tickets are very reasonably priced at $10 for adults and $4 for students. Parking is free and tailgating by fans of both teams will be starting early Saturday morning. The bowl committee has worked diligently to create an atmosphere around the bowl that is conducive for everyone. The weather is forecast to be great Saturday.
The bottom line is the Agent Barry Live United Bowl needs local support in the form of attendance of the game. We need you to come out Saturday and have a great time. The bowl has had local football fans attend one of the previous game just to see what it was about and, after the game, they talk about the bowl experience being something much more than what they expected, and they talk about returning every year. That's what the bowl committee hopes will happen this year. Come on out Saturday, have a great time, and help the bowl support the United Way of Greater Texarkana.
