Cheers and Jeers

June 8th, 2019 in Opinion

JEERS: It is rare that I disagree with the Gazette's "In Our View" opinion. But the recent one, that generally stated that for the good of the country, Trump should put more effort into working with the Democrats—instead of defending himself by exposing their efforts to undermine his presidency. Yes, it would be great if they could agree on what is actually good for America. But considering that the Democratic Party has made it clear, (for over 2 years) that their priority is his destruction, because they have no intention of compromising with him, as they pursue their hell-bent agendas. So, for the sake of compromise, should he totally submit to them, and not defend himself?—D.H.M., Texarkana, Ark.

JEERS: To the Texarkana Gazette for not informing the public that Texarkana, Texas, was listed as the "the most dangerous city in Texas" in the May 1 edition of USA Today, a major news source. This is news that should be reported so people will be aware and not covered up.—J.H., Texarkana, Texas
