Hawks star wings it to University of Arkansas

Pleasant Grove standout Caleb Bolden signed a letter of intent on Friday to play baseball for the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville.
Bolden earned an athletic scholarship from the Division I university.
Bolden went 14-2, struck out 150 in just 95.1 innings, held an ERA of 1.17, issued just 20 walks and kept opponents to a .152 batting average his senior season.
"Arkansas is getting the ultimate competitor," Hawks head coach Riley Fincher said. "The growth that Caleb made from his sophomore to junior year and his junior to senior year was outstanding. He has a bulldog mentality."
The future Razorback was also productive at the plate. He batted .534; hit seven home runs, five triples and 13 doubles; notched 46 RBI; and scored 37 runs in 118 official at-bats.
Bolden was drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays in the 16th round of the MLB draft, but has turned down their offer in order to continue his education.
"He is hungry to compete in the SEC against the best players in the country," Fincher said. "Caleb is always confident while pitching, and it stems from all of the hard work he has put in over the course of the off-season and season.
"Caleb will only improve when he gets up there, with the type of coaching the Razorbacks have."
Caleb is the son of Chris and Lori Bolden.
