COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The Texarkana Twins gave all they could but came up short in the Texas Collegiate League championship game.
The Twins fell to the Brazos Valley Bombers, 8-2, at Travis Field in College Station.
Lee Thomas led the Twins at the dish with a home run and an RBI.
Michael Manette added three hits at the plate for the Twins.
Donte Woodard received the win on the mound for the Bombers, finishing with five strikeouts in six innings.
Cole Coker and Sam McElreath each contributed two RBI for the Bombers. McElreath also collected two hits in the contest.
