It was the night that the lights went out in Texarkana.

After a 40 minute delay due to malfunctioning field lights, the Texarkana Twins and Acadiana Cane Cutters game was cut short in the bottom of the fifth with no outs and deemed unofficial.

Thursday's game was postponed due to wet field conditions. The game has been rescheduled for July 29, in which the Cane Cutters and Twins will play a doubleheader.

Alex Hannie led off the Cane Cutter's second with single up the middle, and teammate Reed Spenrath followed with a hit to center. Each moved up a base on a wild pitch, putting runners on second and third with an out.

The Twins tagged the lead runner out, Hannie, on a fielder's choice for the second out of the frame. Ryan Carr hit a 2-run single to center to give Acadiana an early 2-0 lead.

At the time the game was called Cane Cutter starting pitcher Kris Peet had a perfect game going.

Starting Twins pitcher Matt Foster threw 80 pitches over four innings, gave up two runs on four hits, struck out four, and walked three.
