Twins continue to build summer roster, add two players

The Texarkana Twins announced two additions to its roster for the 2019 season.

Right-handed pitcher Brock Booker and infielder Bobby Lada, both of Bossier Parish Community College, will both be coming to join the Twins, according to a press release.

"We think we got a couple diamonds in the rough with Bobby and Brock," Director of Baseball Operations Brian Nelson said. "Bobby is already doing some really good things this spring and Brock is a physical monster at 6'6. These two have a lot of potential; we are really excited about watching these two young guys compete and develop this summer."

Lada, a Houston native and freshman at BPCC where he has played in 21 games this season, has hit two home runs and has drive in 15 RBIs, while posting a .391 average. He has 25 hits - seven doubles - with seven walks and four stolen bases.

Booker is a native of Many, La., and is also a freshman at BPCC. He is currently redshirting this season as he transitions into a full-time pitcher. Brock finished his high school career batting .375, while collecting 33 hits, six doubles, 20 RBIs and scored 25 runs.
