L-E hoops finishes third

TATUM, Texas-With seven seconds left in the game K.T. Hernandez came up with a steal and passed the ball to Brandon Hall for the game-winning layup as Liberty-Eylau defeated Carthage, 70-68, Saturday night to finish in third place at the Tatum Tournament.
Going into the the fourth quarter Carthage was up 55-42.
The Leopards scored 27 points in the fourth quarter and held the Bulldogs to 13 points.
The Leopards had three players in double figures. Decorian Meadows scored 18 points and was 9-for-14 from the free-throw line, Decorian Phillips poured in 17 points and swished two 3-pointers, and Deontae Crawford added 10 points.
Jarrod Mcliv led the Bulldogs with 16 points and Jakevion McDaniel chipped in 13 points.
The Leopards were 28 for 40 from the free-throw line.
Hall was selected to the All Tatum Tournament team.
