GLADEWATER, Texas-Pleasant Grove and Gladewater continue their best-of-three Class 4A bi-district playoff series at 2 p.m. today at Lady Bear Field.
Pleasant Grove won the opener, 7-1, on its field Thursday night. Kimmie Atienza hit a solo homer and Faith Lipham launched a 3-run shot to lead the Lady Hawks (22-2), who are ranked No. 11 in the Texas coaches' poll.
Gladewater's softball field is west of Jack Murphy Stadium at Gladewater High School, 2201 W. Gay Ave.
Those coming into town from the north on U.S. 271 can turn right, or west, on Gay from 271. The softball field is behind the football stadium.
Those coming into Gladewater from Longview on U.S. 80 can turn right, or north, on North Rodeo Drive and then turn right at the first cross street, Hendricks Street. A parking area and the ball field will be on the right.
