Arkansas Democrat-Gazette/BENJAMIN KRAIN --07/9/2013-- Members of World Changers, from left, Paris Lailson, from Cedar Park, TX, Ruth Jeon, from Flowermound, TX, Patrick Zepeda, from Houston, TX and Jordan Staton, from Whitesburg, KY, prepare a home at 2302 Commerce St. in Little Rock for painting on Tuesday. Almost 200 student volunteers from the faith-based World Changers Organization will spend 2 weeks helping eligible homeowners in Little Rock make repairs and improvements through a partnership with the City of Little Rock's Department of Housing and Neighborhood Programs and Community Development Block Grants Housing Division. Eligible homeowners applied in the fall to be on this summer's World Changer's agenda and had to meet income and age requirements.

GAME FACTS: Friar coach Chuck Faucette came to Bishop Lynch last March after spending last eight years as assistant with St. Louis Rams. He coached at SMU and Texas prior to that and was head coach at St. Pius in Houston in the early 1990s. The two teams did not exchange film. Lynch's offense will operate out of the shotgun with one, or two backs. Their base defense is a 4-2-5. Faucette planed to name a starting quarterback Thursday. Junior transfers Sam Vrana and Jagger LaRoe were the top two candidates. Seniors Devuntay Walker and Markese Martin are expected to split time at tailback for Texas High. This is Barry Norton's 18th season as head coach for the Tigers. Texas High fans going to the game should exit I-30 at Ferguson Road. Turn right and go 2 1/2 miles. School and stadium is on the right.

COACHES' COMMENTS: Texas High's Norton-"We went over to see a 40-minute scrimmage in Dallas last week. We did see much. They probably ran 25 base plays. I know they have a good running back, and a really good slot receiver. They don't know much about us, and we know nothing about them. It ought to be fun trying to figure it out. We've got to do a great job getting to their back and slot. If you turn the ball over you lose. We've got to be ready to make adjustments.

Bishop Lynch's Chuck Faucette: "We're going on stuff Texas High did last year. Their coaching staff has been together for a while. We figure they're going to do what they do. They're a very well coached team. They have a lot of tradition, and they're coming to our stadium hungry for their first win. Offensively, they've got a good quarterback (Cade Pearson), a couple of good receivers and a good running back. They lost a lot to graduation on defense, but they'll reload. Hopefully they've got some young guys on defense and we'll be able to move the ball on them. We haven't faced anyone the caliber of Texas High."
