The Blue Tigers were eliminated by Muenster in the 2015 regional semifinals before the Hornets fell to Martins Mill in the regional championship game. All three of those teams return, this time with Clarksville ranked No. 2 in the state and the likely favorite to win the regional title and a berth in next week's state basketball tournament in San Antonio.

The Blue Tigers (31-4) ride a 16-game win streak into their 6 p.m. semifinal against fifth-ranked Muenster (31-3). Electra (21-4) and No. 11 Martins Mill (30-7) meet at 8 p.m. in the other semifinal at McKinney North High School.

Clarksville's lineup includes junior guard Rayzon Allen (5-10), junior guard Detaveon Lewis (5-6), senior forward Keyshon Moore (6-2), and junior posts Quintin Wallace (6-5) and Clashon Gaffney (6-7).

Six-foot-1 Blake Hoepfner leads the Hornets with 16.7 points per game, and 6-6 Logan Cook (11.5), 5-10 John Weger (10.8) and 6-0 Blayne Jones (10.8) all average in double figures as well.

The Blue Tigers have defeated Big Sandy (56-37), Fruitvale (81-40) and Ore City (73-36) this postseason. The Hornets have beaten Petrolia (75-48), Windthorst (68-44) and Dallas Gateway (87-65).

Clarksville last lost to Pleasant Grove on Jan. 2.
