Ashdown falls in 7-4A title game

BAUXITE, Ark.-Arkadelphia rallied late to overtake Ashdown for the 7-4A conference tournament championship Monday at Bauxite.
Jaden Hill belted a two-run home run for the Panthers during a four-run third inning, and he also had a single. Bryson Haskins led Ashdown with two hits as well.
Austin Bearden absorbed the loss in relief.
Dylan Parnham had a solo homer for the Badgers.
Ashdown (17-6) takes the second seed into the regional tournament Thursday against Star City at Monticello.

Genoa Central 4, Horatio 3
ARKADELPHIA, Ark.-Jacob Knotts ripped a two-out, two-run home run for Genoa Central as the Dragons edged Horatio on the Dragons' Senior Night, held at Henderson State University.
Dylan Rushing picked up the win, combining with Tyler Moreland, Knotts and Justin Swecker for a 4-hitter. Swecker set the school record for saves by working the sixth and seventh innings.
Swecker also had a RBI triple.
Dante Jones and Hunter Lansdell both doubled for the Lions.
Horatio finished 7-3A play at 8-2 and takes the No. 1 seed into the regional tournament Thursday at Smackover. The Dragons, who honored Swecker, Knotts and Ethan Tolleson as the senior class, are the second seed and play at 5:30 p.m.

LINDEN, Texas-In a seeding playoff from District 16-3A, Linden-Kildare rallied from an early 1-0 deficit to beat Chapel Hill at Jim Grubbs Field.
Blake Burns picked up the pitching win in relief of Curt Wells.
Traccer Henry had a double, single and scored a run for the Tigers (12-7), and Burns had three RBI on a hit.
Bryant Roberts was 1 for 2 with a run scored for the Red Devils.

FOUKE, Ark.-Cameron Rawlinson's walk-off single in the eighth with two outs forged a tie between the Panthers and Centerpoint in the 7-3A standings, with Fouke advancing to the regional tournament on a tie-breaker.
Pinch-runner Richard Casto scored after taking over at second for Amzi East, who singled to start the bottom of the eighth.
Jonah Parker worked all eight innings for Fouke, tossinga 3-hitter and striking out 10 while walking none.
Rawlinson was 2 for 3 with two RBI, and Micah Larey, Gabe Parker and East added a hit each.

Hope 15, Hot Springs 0, run-rule
HOT SPRINGS, Ark.-Jacinda Casper pitched a three-inning one-hitter and had four RBI on a single and walks, helping Hope blast the Lady Trojans in 5A-South action.
Natalie Phillips ripped a two-run double for the Lady Cats (12-10, 7-5), who host De Queen today at 5 p.m.

ARKADELPHIA, Ark.-Kendall McMahen was 4 for 4 with a triple, two doubles and two RBI to help Genoa Central edge Horatio at Henderson State University.
Allanna Fomby-one of four seniors honored before the game-was 3 for 4 with two RBI, and Savannah Binkley was 2 for 5 and scored twice. Dayton May picked up the pitching win in relief of Lakyn Fluker.
Also inthe senior class for the Lady Dragons (15-9, 7-3) were Callie Beckham, Megan Latham and Miranda Cutchall. Genoa Central plays in the regional tournament at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Smackover.

Soccer

Lady Backs win 9th straight
LITTLE ROCK-Arkansas High's girls soccer team won its ninth consecutive game after a 7-0 victory over Parkview.
Reese Chesshir netted a hat trick, and Hannah Rose scored twice for the Lady Backs (13-4-2, 9-1).
Taylor Ledford scored with an assist from Baylee Lindsey, and Sydney Pritchett assisted Chesshir's third goal. Tamara Biddle had the assist on Rose's second goal, and Ledford assisted the first.
Arkansas High hosts Little Rock Hall today, starting at 4:30 p.m. with junior varsity.
The Razorbacks beat Parkview's boys, 3-2, on penalties. Eduardo Perez and Jacob Akin each had a regulation goal for AHS.
