Nashville drops 91 in victory

Scrappers' Hopkins scores 8 touchdowns in win over Idabel, Okla.

NASHVILLE, Ark.-Nashville and Idabel lit up the scoreboard and each other Friday at Scrapper Stadium, but it was the top-ranked Scrappers who emerged on top of a 91-63 victory.

Darius Hopkins rushed 19 times for 269 yards and eight touchdowns for Nashville (3-0). Trent Harris added 12 carries for 190 yards and two TDs, and Tyler hanson connected on 12 of 16 passes for 238 yards and two touchdowns.

Ty Pettway caught six balls for 104 yards, and Dominick Kight had four for 94 yards and a score.

Hopkins had scoring runs of 1, 3, 35, 42, 46, 4, 69 and 11 yards, and Nashville took a 56-36 lead at halftime.

The Scrappers piled up 747 yards of total offense, and the Warriors of Idabel had 593 yards, rushing for 223 and passing for 370. Nashville had 509 yards on the ground.

 

Genoa Central 35, Spring Hill 0

GENOA, Ark.-The Dragons (3-0) pitched a shutout against the Bears (1-2). The Dragons led 21-0 at halftime, before adding 14 points in the third quarter for the final margin of victory.

The Dragons were led by Tyler Moreland who had 119 yards rushing and 4 TDs.The Dragons held the Bears to 112 yards of offense, while forcing 2 turnovers in their winning effort.

 

Fouke 45, Dierks 41

DIERKS, Ark.-Fouke remained in the unbeaten ranks with a hard-fought victory over the host Outlaws.

The Panthers, coached by veteran Rick Barker, climb to 3-0 with the victory while Dierks slips to 1-2.

The Outlaws played without their regular starting quarterback, who suffered a concussion last week.

 

Hamburg 24, Ashdown 23

Ashdown fell from the unbeaten ranks, dropping a 24-23 decision to Hamburg Friday night on the Panther's home field.

Ashdown falls to 2-1 on the season while Hamburg climbs to 1-2. 

 

Other Scores

In other games, Foreman defeated Horatio, 42-7, Hampton mauled Murfreesboro, 67-14, Parkers Chapel downed Lafayette County, 33-21, and El Dorado bested Magnolia, 31-10.
